Originally built around 1860, and once offered to Ulysses S. Grant and his wife as a retirement home, the Villa Building at Richmond University Medical Center, needs to be restored and brought back to life. Currently, it is home to the Administration and Human Resources offices, among others, of the hospital. Rising Sun Construction has been contracted to install twenty new dormer windows, rebuild the existing Roof Deck and replace the Roof, rebuild the Cornices, complete masonry repairs, and replace the siding. This restoration updates the beautiful mansion for the 21st century.
For this Restoration project, Rising Sun’s responsibilities include:
