The Main Library of the Sussex County Library System, located in Newton, NJ, hired Rising Sun Construction to completely remove their old flat-out roof and install an SR Product Cold-Applied Modified Built-Up Roofing System. This provided the library with a highly resistant surface, which will lower their maintenance costs over the life of the roof, and one that can handle higher and lower temperature ranges. Also, we installed a Stone-Coated Metal Roof over the entire sloped roof area. Other additional work we performed for the library included building a new dormer for their new HVAC system, rebuilding of the cupola, upgrading their lighting protection, and adding new roof drains and pipe lines.
